Government Processing Times
There are four U.S. Citizenship and Immigration (CIS) Service Centers. Each center has jurisdiction over a certain segment of the United States, and each center is responsible for adjudicating most of the applications and petitions filed with the CIS by individuals residing in that jurisdiction. You may click on the links to locate estimated processing times for petitions, applications and forms. In addition, the Missouri Center serves as a location for processing certain domestic forms and applications.
The Foreign Labor Certification is the initial stage in most permanent residence cases, and the U.S. Department of Labor provides estimated processing times on a regional and statewide basis.
Online Case Status is provided by the CIS, for submitted, pending immigration cases. In order to check status, you will need the receipt number of the case.
